In our previous article, we explored the different approaches to building a website, from no-code platforms to fully custom solutions. But how do you actually choose between them?
It starts with asking the right questions. Rather than "What's the best platform?" we help you think through with a few questions:
What are you achieving? A simple portfolio, or an e-commerce store with 1,000 products? Your goals should drive your technology choices, not the other way around.
Who will maintain the website? If your team needs to update content frequently, you'll want something user-friendly and easy. If you have developers on staff or plan to work with us long-term on a subscription basis, you have more flexibility.
How quickly do you need to launch? Sometimes speed matters more than perfection. A no-code solution that gets you online in two weeks might be better than a six-month custom build, especially if you're testing a new market.
What's your budget, now and ongoing? Consider both upfront costs and long-term expenses. A lower cost platform might have monthly fees that add, while a custom site might have a higher initial cost but lower maintenance fees.
